Jubilee! *Screeeeereee*
Drawing X-23 got me in an X-men mood that I wasn't quite over yet. Enter Jubilee. The Chinese American mutant with Firework powers that my young 90's mind didn't remotely recognize the implications of (Some guy at Marvel must have thought they were sooo clever.)
I've always liked her design. She was like...the 90's personified. (when are cyber-punk Motoko sunglasses going to be a thing? the 80's tried a little...swing and a miss) She also had a fun father daughter-y connection with Wolverine which is a plus. But her powers effectiveness varied greatly from situation to situation in the old cartoon. It was incredibly ineffective against "main villain" plot armor. (but to be fair, every power was) Great at K.O.ing goons, though.
Mostly she was the young mind that allowed the older cast to deliver exposition to the audience through. And provide a hopeful and innocent perspective in plot development. Which she did a fine job of.
